HAITI EARTHQUAKE RELIEF
We continue in prayer for our brothers and sisters in Haiti. In the aftermath of last week's 7.0 earthquake, a 6.1 magnitude aftershock struck Haiti on Wednesday morning. Please keep the work of World Relief in mind as you seek to identify trustworthy organizations that are playing an active, vital role in what is sure to be an ongoing effort to help the people of Haiti deal with the impact of this tragedy.
19th Street Haitian Relief Fund Passes $15,000
We thank God for His many blessings. Over the past week we have been blessed to be able to GIVE. We have witnessed faith and compassion in action as our church family has responded to the needs of the people of Haiti in dramatic fashion. Starting with a special offering on 1/17, over $15,000 has been donated to support the Haitian Relief effort. If you would like to make a contribution, please CLICK THIS LINK or contact our church office (202-829-2773).

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash."
Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV)
